LuggagesLuggage Industry. What is the tend?
When individuals travel they want to have the insurance and comfort of knowing that their luggage they are traveling with will be sufficient. The luggage industry has seen a major growth spurt in recent years. In 2006 alone, net sales of the luggage industry reached 5 Trillion dollars. That figure for net sales is in the United States alone and has many people thinking that the sales for the luggage industry will not slow down anytime soon. This is certainly good for the economy because increased sales of luggage pieces and equipment typically mean that more consumers are traveling.
But the luggage industry has also seen some major changes throughout the past decade also. The types of luggage that people typically travel with now has changed throughout the years. From purchasing expensive laptop briefcases to luggage that is specific to the tools you are carrying is all meant to benefit the consumers who are purchasing the luggage. For example, there is a MacCase briefcase that is specifically meant for Apple computers. But whether or not the MacCase is specifically designed to hold Apple computer or whether it will hold regular PC's will be left up to the consumers.
Nevertheless, the luggage industry has made great strides for the increased technology in today's world. Baggage equipment and backpacks are made containing any type of laptop that you have, there are specific pockets that can be used for cell phones, and digital cameras have their own storage inside luggage these days. Even simple bookbags for students have been made that include these types of pockets. But since there have been exceptions and specific pockets made for all types of technology, naturally the security in the luggage industry also has to increase. For example, consumers can purchase luggage and suitcases that have a simple outer lock but on the inside contain a sophisticated lock that will prevent any thievery from happening.
Aside from laptop compartments, though, the luggage industry has produced some very interesting and intricately designed baggages throughout the recent years that are perfect for anyone and that are foldable, spacious, and moldable to whatever you have to pack. For example, Traveler's Choice is one of the most popular luggage brands within the luggage industry and one of the products they have marketed is the Amsterdam Rolling Briefcase. Not only does this briefcase look more like a backpack, but it also includes a laptop compartment, in-line skate wheels so that you can roll the briefcase, a utility compartment on the front side, an inside handle system, as well as a large inner pocket and handle.
But as the luggage industry becomes more smart in the bags, handbags, briefcases, and business briefcases that are produced, the technology and accessories that consumers carry with them will probably become all the more difficult to pack as well. However, the luggage industry has made many great products and the Traveler's Choice bags as well as the MacCase are just two examples of these great luggage products for traveling consumers!
